The Dark Knight
Hopefully most of you (if not all of you) are looking forward to the upcoming sequel to Batman Begins known as The Dark Knight. The latest trailer for the film was definitely a well put together 2 mins and some seconds of footage. It can be viewed here:
Even if you have seen it before, it's worth refreshing your memory and having another look before moving on to the brilliant re-creation of the epic trailer which can be seen right here:
(seriously guys, do not click on this until you've checked out the original, it's much more enjoyable that way)

Just a funny fact
So, in the neverending sinkhole that is my life (way to go Cyrus' drive), I ended up on Brendon Small's wikipedia entry. It provided me with this tidbit of info:
"[Brendon Small] has recently completed the Dethklok album entitled The Dethalbum, in which he collaborates with Gene Hoglan to deliver an authentic melodic death metal sound while simultaneously retaining the light-hearted nature with which Small portrays the heavy metal sub-genre. The album debuted at #21 in the Billboard 200, making it the highest charting death metal album ever."
I am pretty sure that the failure of death metal as a likeable genre of music is the only thing between me and death. Keep failing you crazy Norwegians. Fail so that I may live.

ROMs Abound
So I was telling Marcello about this on the weekend. There is currently a fan translation for the game Mother 3, the long awaited sequel to, get this, Mother 2. For those who aren't big fans of the series, you'd know it better as Earthbound (a much better name). Anyways, since Nintendo poured money into the Earthbound advert campaign and America sent them a big "we don't give a fuck about boys in hats" response, they have decided that they will never share the Earthbound goodness with us again. But, happily some hackers have taken it upon themselves to translate the japanese game so yay. Here is their site:
http://mother3.fobby.net/
To get the actual ROM, which you need to play the game, here is my new favorite ROM site, DGEmu:
http://www.dgemu.com/index.html
The downside is that you have to register and have a limited amount you can DL in a given day. The upside is that this site's selection of games is unrivaled by anything I have ever seen. So I suggest going and getting the Japanese Mother 3 ROM, and while you are at it, grab the Earthbound ROM and see what all the/my fuss is about.

Creepy Creepy Second Life
As if I didn't haven enough reasons to never go near Second Life. Pretty much anything where furries make up a major part of the user base is not for me. But, I guess I just didn't really know what Second Life was really about. Read this article:
http://secondlife.reuters.com/stories/2007/02/23/second-life-sketches-please-stop-doing-that-to-the-cat
I gotta say, this almost makes me want to try out Second Life. You know, in that same way that you open the lid of a port-o-potty to see what all the fuss is about. Mmmmm, yeah... I can almost picture it now. Here are some quotes from the article:
"Therefore, Slave Bill flopped on to the floor as his wooden sex horse vanished from under him."
"I think they were going into direct competition with the sex club two sims north, which was helpfully named The Sex Club."
"and it remains hard to believe I’m typing these words — erotic underground toilet"

Well, I have been outdone...
Goddamnit! Sam's Steampunk modder was way more hardcore than mine. Fine, I concede. But I will concede epicly by posting this must see from Datamancer.net. Behold, the aptly titled: "FUN WITH FETUSES"

I appreciate fine art.
It is difficult to say which of Brandon Bird's paintings is the best, but if forced to pick, I would have to go with Lazy Sunday Afternoon.
