Vogue Slang of the Gods

The New York vogue scene is a little out there to an outsider. Its a strange mix of guys doing their best to be feminine while still being aggressive and territorial guys. I guess that's not that odd. What's odd is that you feel like it should be different, but, as with most things, its the same.

Anyways, they have some of the best fucking slang in the universe. Thanks to VBS.TV (a solid site) for this:

Give Tens: To vote for a dancer to move on to the next battle. "Gimme my tens, Jacques!"

Chop: To chop someone out of the competition. Don't get chopped!

HIYA: Like a karate chop. This is the word you yell in someone's face when you chop them. (You have to say it like you're Miss Piggy.)

Catch: Means the same thing as Snaps! Zing! or Singe! "Your makeup looks like you got it done at Mac. Catch!"

Over or Done: Amazing. Pronounce it "ovah." "That pose was ovah. That Ninja is DONE tonight."

Sitting: Flawless beauty, outfit, and presence. "Queen, you are SITTING in that new dress."

White Woman: Opulence vibes. "We ate at Balthazar last night. It was so White Woman."

Bangicunt: Around the way girl (the girl next door, LL Cool J style). "That bangicunt is looking Judy."

You look Judy: Not the shiniest pearl on the rosary. You're a dog, basically.

Bambi: A babe, a "10."

I don't see her: When you don't like someone (gender doesn't apply here;everyone is a "her"), you don't "see" her.

Late vibe: Bad shit (rain, cops, etc.) "Those cops brought the late vibe to this party. Flash, girl."

Flash: Beat it. Get out.

Get out of it: Shut up!

Cunt: Very bitchy or very feminine. "He's cunty," depending on how it's said, can be an insult or a compliment.

Tick-tick-boom: Crazy. "That bangicunt is tick-tick-boom. She went loose after she got chopped"

Fierce: BAD bad, not GOOD bad. "Jay from America's Next Top Model is fucking FIERCE."

Reading, or trying: Clowning someone. (As in what I just did to Jay.)

Key: To have fun. "Let's key at the Clubhouse tonight."

Feeling it: When you think it's your world but it's really not. "That queen is really feeling it. We weren't even in her realm."

Rest: Stop. "Rest with that jealousy, girl. Just relax. Rest." (I like this one because it's so embarrassing when someone tells you to rest. There's no comeback for that.)

Resting: When you're dressed so well, you put everyone else's outfit to rest. Kind of like sitting.

Perm: Reading someone. "My boss was perming me today for being late."

Entendre Perm: Extra perming. "I got fired today. Entendre Perm!"
